Red light flashlight to retain your night vision and ability to read your charts and find your way. Fresh batteries so you are not stuck in the woods and the batteries die leaving you in the dark
gloves with open finger option as the little pieces involved with eye pieces and reference charts can be challenging in gloves
Binoculars... even with a 16" telescope you will want the ability to do a quick view of something like a passing space station or meteor
